Luxfer Aluminum Cylinders
Luxfer is the company that brought aluminum cylinders to the scuba industry. They developed the world’s first aluminum scuba cylinder in collaboration with the famous underwater explorer, Jacques Cousteau. In 1988, Luxfer introduced the first scuba tanks manufactured from a proprietary formula of aluminum alloy 6061-T6, to provide superior corrosion resistance and dependable performance. In addition to its line of aluminum scuba cylinders, Luxfer also offers the world’s only 4350 psi (300 bar) hoop-wrapped composite scuba cylinders.
